Hi, I’m Jennifer! I've been surrounded by art my whole life, with "the artist" as a big part of my identity. When I started painting, I spent 10 years stubbornly painting on my own, convinced that formal instruction would kill my creativity and force me into someone else's style.
When I finally took my first painting class, everything changed—I realized I'd been missing fundamental design principles and painting techniques that no amount of talent could replace.
Since that first "aha moment" workshop, I have studied painting with over a dozen of today's most successful painters. Some were great teachers, and some were not. Both the great and the "not so great" experiences shaped how I teach: every lesson tailored to individual goals, with clear explanations of not just what to do but why.
